DeepMitoDB

Database of experimental and predicted subcellular localization of mitochondrial proteins with exteded functional annotation. Currently, the database contains data for 4307 proteins from five species: human, mouse, yeast, fly and Arabidopsis.

Experimental evidence for mitochondrial localization is extracted from UniProtKB (evidence code ECO:0000269). Prediction methods are also used to assess mitochondrial localiazation including internal organelle compartement. In particular, the DeepMito method is used to predict sub-mitochondrial localiazation. The server also provides a BLAST search function for identifying proteins in the database that are related to a set of query sequences provided by users.
